Fedora 5 ATI Graphics Radeon support

If you're using Fedora 5, and unable to use ATI Graphics support, Here are the steps to install

  1. # rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-5.rpm
  2. # yum install kmod-fglrx
  3. # setsebool -P allow_execmod=1
  4. Open /etc/inittab
    Change default init parameter to id:3:initdefault
  5. Reboot
    # ati-fglrx-config-display enable
  6. aticonfig –initial
  7. Change the default init parameter to 5 in /etc/inittab
  8. # reboot
